I've read somewhere the title of this LP was originally a play on words for a proposed collection of R&B covers. Ultimately, "Ain't Too Proud to Beg" ended up on the It's Only Rock n' Roll LP while "Shame, Shame, Shame" and "Drift Away" were left on the shelf. By using some outtakes from the group's previous LP sessions (mostly with departing guitarist Mick Taylor) we have 12 songs--including covers of Stevie Wonder and Robert Johnson--clocking in at 46 minutes. Some of these tunes would see release on Metamorphosis in 1975. 'What about the original Black and Blue' you ask? Re-title it Worried About You and include "Worried About You" and "Slave" from Tattoo You. I follow Album Fixer's Rolling Stones discography for all the rest. The result is two improved LPs (at the loss of the two previous mentioned compilations released instead).
