4 YEARS LATER....Free, Man, Free.

The floating bedhead angle maybe isn't my first choice---but 4 years of freedom from slavery to the hooch (haha) means I feel too good to worry about that. I look way better than I did back in 2022! Losing a pint of blood and being put into a coma. Turning yellow from jaundice. Doctors saying I could "die any day". My liver put a restraining order on me. We're cool now, though. Esophagus took a lot longer to come around (haha). But it IS possible, folks. I used to love getting wasted. But I evolved out of it because there was nowhere left to go but in the ground.

I had to fight to get my mind and body back 25 years, haha. The liver is about 65 now, I'd say. And the struggle only made me stronger. I'm living proof nothing can stop you when you refuse to be put down. Nothing holds me down at all anymore that ain't good for me. Anything less is just holding you back.

If something hurts you--then it doesn't help you at all. You have to deal with the void inside you inevitably. Whatever trauma and negative thinking that makes you easy prey for instant gratification? Yeah, that thing.
Starting with gratitude for what goes right and what makes you happy is just the beginning. From that, I find my faith. Whatever that is to you---is up to you. Just remember---"You can't juke the jukester."

To me, the joy I feel from being free came out in this song. I'm not a top piano player by any stretch. I know enough chords to play them on guitar I guess, haha. This song really came from trying to apply major-minor pentatonic scales that I'd been studying on guitar to the piano just for fun. When it started sounding cool---somebody said, "Record it!" Haha, thanks, fam.

I feel very blessed and looking forward to my life. Feel like I just woke up from a twenty-five year incarceration. Thank you for watching this long. It gets better, trust me!

Cheers
